Mermet Springs is a spring-fed quarry in Southern Illinois that is surrounded by woods and granite rock cliffs rising from the water. Mermet Springs offers divers visibility up to 60 feet and depths up to 120 feet. There are many sunken treasures to find and explore, including a Boeing 727 airplane. Local aquatic life can be seen, including bluegill, catfish, American Paddlefish, and freshwater jellies.

Mermet Springs is set up for all levels of divers! There are 7 training platforms, docks that provide easy entry and exits, and covered pavilions. Working towards Master Diver? Mermet is a great place to take your Specialty Training Divers for Deep Diver, Dry Suit Diver, Advanced Navigation, etc.
